    2017 AINA Neurology Trainee Awards Announced 

    AINA is pleased to announce the winners of the 2017 AINA Neurology Trainee Awards. There were over 20 abstracts that were reviewed this year and the process was competitive! These winners will be presented during the AINA Annual Meeting on Tuesday evening, April 25th at the Sheraton Boston Hotel.

    1st Place - Vamshi Krishna Sai Balasetti, Omaha, NE - Post hospitalization follow-up clinic visits in neurological diseases

    2nd Place - Deepak Gupta, Jersey City, NJ - Glucose-regulated protein 78 (GRP78) in plasma and CSF is associated with Parkinson's disease

    3rd Place (Tie) - Vasu Saini, Miami, FL - Safety Outcome of Carotid Artery Stenting in Long Carotid Lesion with Proximal versus Distal Embolic Protection Devices

    3rd Place (Tie) - Apratim Chatterjee, Kolkata - Barriers to Thrombolysis in a tertiary care institute in Eastern India

    Congratulations to these winners! What great work being showcased by these individuals, as well as all of the trainee abstracts. An exciting time in Neurology!

    Annual Meeting and Dinner - April 25, 2017 - Boston, MA

    If you haven't, the time is now to register for the AINA Annual meeting at the Sheraton Boston Hotel! The AINA Annual meeting and dinner will be held NEXT WEEK during the AAN meeting on April 25th, 2017. It will be an evening to visit with your colleagues and friends, hear from special guest speakers, recognize the AINA Lifetime Achievement award winner and learn more about AINA and the work of its' partners! If you have not, please register yourself and guests as soon as possible. Please click here to view the AINA Annual Meeting flyer! The final agenda and room assignment will be sent out shortly. In order to save time, please be sure to pre-register prior to the Annual Meeting!

    Make plans now to attend the AINA Annual meeting and dinner held during the AAN meeting on April 25th, 2017 at the Sheraton Boston Hotel, 39 Dalton Street, Boston, MA. Please register yourself and guests as soon as possible.  We look forward to connecting with colleagues, recognizing the 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award winner and hearing from our special guest speakers. 

    We also invite neurologists in training to apply for the AINA Neurology Trainee Award. The deadline for application is March 31, 2017. Any in-training neurologist of Indian origin and is a first or senior author on an abstract accepted to the American Academy of Neurology meeting is eligible for the award. You must be physically present at the AINA Annual meeting to receive the award.

    The Association of Indian Neurologists in America was pleased to host a meeting of the Indian Epileptologists on Sunday, December 4 at the American Epilepsy Society 2017 Conference in Houston, TX.
